back in the saddle
After achieving my goal of 249 I was really happy. In 90 days I went from 279 lbs to 249 lbs. I went off plan for 3 weeks and went between 249 and 251 the entire 3 weeks. My wife decided to give the plan a try, so I am going for another 25 lbs of weight loss as we do it together. After 4 days of celebrations with friends I remained focused. I'm currently at 245lbs with 20lbs to go. Now, I don't see anything in the 30 days that can throw me off so I'm back in the saddle, focused, and about to drop this 20lbs like a champ!

Its not a diet but a lifestyle change
Well Well Well....... Its been almost 2 months since I started my weight loss journey. After seeing a depressing 279 on the scale, I got my act together and made some tough choices. I began the HCG diet and saw tremendous results in the first 28 days. In that period I lost 20 pounds. After the 28 day period I started to travel for work. This travel kept me on the road for about a month with only 2 days at home during that time. This made the HCG diet impossible. I couldnt regulate eating times, no control over the menu, and would leave my drops in the hotel or guest apartments half the time. What I did learn, was I had developed SOME discipline. No-low carb intake, veggies and fruits, lots of water and do the best I can - when I can. I put back up to 10 of the pounds (on my worst day) and had it under control to about 5. So at the end of 2 months I am down 15 pounds and ready for another round of phase 1 (ended last night) and phase 2 (begin today). Im shooting for 20 pounds again, bring my HCG experience to 35 pounds of weight loss. From that point I think I can maintain and continue with a less drastic program of weight watchers or Jenny, we will cross that bridge when it comes.

Day 2 down 2 more LBS
I'm kinda getting the hang of this. Stuck to the script for breakfast and just had coffee and an apple. I even measured the creamer. Since it really isn't dairy I guess I didn't have to, but for calorie sake, I did. Took lunch to work and ate chicken breast while those around me at pizza. I was brave!!!!! For dinner I repeated the chicken and added Melba toast. We decided to go to the movies and see the new Denzel movie. I had a zero calorie diet coke and was surprised how little popcorn I ate. The supplement definitely suppresses hunger! I'm glad to have made the decision to do "something" "anything". I had became powerless over my eating decisions and my eating had become unmanageable. Now Im feeling the hope!!!!
Weight loss for day 2 was 2 pounds.
Weight loss to date 5 pounds.

Day 1
Well day 1 got off to a rough start when I was invited to a breakfast meeting. Grrrrrr. I settled on 2 pcs of bacon, very small portion of hash browns and fruit. I should have had an apple and coffee. Oh well! For lunch I had a piece of chicken 4-5 oz's and salad greens with a very small amount of dressing. I should have had chicken and veggies, absolutely no dressing! So all that to say I wasn't off to a good start. I had a conversation with someone I see pretty often who is on the same plan and she gave me a pep talk and some insight to being successful. For dinner, I got my act together and followed the plan. Chicken (with lemon and pepper), asparagus, and melba toast. I put away about 36 ounces of water and kept it simple. I never felt abnormaly hungry.
The result: I started the day Feb 9 at 270 and this morning weighed on at 267. Im not over excited or making any unrealistic predictions, Im simply detailing the facts. I do look forward to a couple of apple snacks, Im not going to let hunger turn into making bad choices.

The Decision
A few weeks ago, I stepped on the scale and it said 279 POUNDS!! It's the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I got a bike and enjoy riding around the hood. I remembered a weight loss program a couple of guys I know had tried and saw favorable results. Along with a very low calorie diet, a supplement is called for. I tried the diet alone and skipped the supplement. Within a couple of days, I had extreme body aches and abandoned the effort. I did learn that I was disciplined enough to tolerate the low calorie diet and should reconsider using the supplement which gives the body the extra little boost of nutrients needed. Being frugal, I retried the regiment without the supplement and lost weight again- but plateaued quickly.
This morning (2/9)
Weight:270
Neck:19.5
Belly: 51.5
Waist: 44
Chest: 49
Bicep: 18
Thigh: 28
The idea of this blog is to record my progress/failure as I attempt to reach 250. I probably will not post daily, but I will record what I've eaten (good or bad). I want to be totally transparent and use this blog as an accountability tool.
